YOUTH MINISTRY

IGNITION is for High School students and meets on Sundays from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the White House.  FUEL is for Junior High students and meets on Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Lightouse.  Both groups are combined during the summer and meet on Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm. AWANA MINISTRY  Awana meets Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm during the schoold year.           Cubbies - Ages 3 and 4 years old           Sparkies - Kindergarten through 2nd Grade           T&T - 3rd through 6th Grade JOY OF CHRIST TOY DISTRIBUTION Since 2012, we have served thousands of children in our community through an annual toy distribution, thanks to the generosity of many individuals, churches, businesses and organizations in Boone County.

THE GREAT GIVEAWAY

Each year we have a weeknd in July where we give away clothing, toys, shoes, furniture and other household items to people in our community who may need such items.  This is a free event to demonstrate God’s free gift of love and salvation in Jesus Christ.

COMMUNITY CONCERT SERIES

Every summer as a service to our community, we sponsor three gospel concerts held at 7:00 pm on Sunday evenings at the staging area near the Baltic Mill in Belvidere Park.

COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DINNER

On Thanksgiving Day, we serve a turkey dinner to anyone in our community who is in need of a holiday meal or holiday companionship. BOONE COUNTY FAIR REST TENT Every summer, we provide Christian hospitality through our rest tent at the Boone County Fair.  We offer cold water, a place to rest in the shade, suckers, coloring books for kids, Chrtistian literature, infant changing table and privacy station for nursing mothers. ROCKFORD RESCUE MISSION We help serve the evening meal at the Mission on the 4th Thursday of January, March, May, July and September, and host a paper drive during the year. NORTHERN ILLINOIS PREGNANCY CARE CENTER Financially we are helping to support this outreach which provides care and counseling to women facing unplanned pregnancies. AREA FOOD PANTRIES In our concern for families in our community that are having a hard time making ends meet, we support the Belvidere Salvation Army with a food drive every year and participate in their Christmas Kettle Drive.  We also collected canned goods and boxed food items for the Boone County Food Pantry. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD We collect shoeboxes filled with toys, candy, gum, school supplies, soap, toothpaste, toothbrishes, and other items for distribution to impoverished children around the world in partnership with Samaritan’s Purse. MISSIONS TRIPS Last summer, we sent 14 students and leaders to Cannon Falls, Minnesota (June 18-24), to participate in a work camp sponsored by Group Cares.  They joined with other youth from around the country to do painting and home remodeling projects for seniors.
